Ways to pay

A clear price. A plan for payment.

We’ll put the work and price in writing so you can plan ahead. Here are the payment details and questions to work through before you decide.

Plan the payment in three steps.

  1. Get the full price

Start with the written proposal: the package, any separate work, and the final total. Compare the package inclusions.

  2. Check who will pay

If using a program or plan, ask whether the exact work is eligible, which documents are needed, and whether the contractor must be approved. Confirm what the household would pay.

  3. Confirm before committing

Ask whether authorization is needed before signing, paying a deposit, or starting work. Get the answer in writing, including what happens if the work or funding changes.

Our deposit policy: 50% at signing, balance at completion.

Confirm accepted payment methods before signing. Financing terms have not been confirmed.

A program or plan decides eligibility and approval. Check any provider requirements directly; this site does not establish approved-provider status. Arrange installation only after the payment and authorization questions are settled.

Start with the official source.

Use these resources to prepare questions about the particular proposal. They do not establish that a program will pay for it.

Veterans’ home-modification questions

Ask the VA about eligibility, documentation, contractor requirements, and any approval needed before work begins.
